- 13 October, 2015: IBM completed the purchase of Merge Healthcare for $1.02 billion
- 22 February, 2010: Amicas is sold to Merge Healthcare for cash consideration of $222.4 million
- 2 April, 2009: Following the arrest of Allan Stanford, the collapse of Stanford Financial and the termination of its proposed merger with HSS, Emageon is sold to Amicas for $39.3 million in cash and stock.
- 27 December, 2008: Emageon agrees to be acquired by HSS, a publicly-traded healthcare I/T company, for $65 million in cash, funded by HSS’ majority owner, Stanford Financial Corporation.
